The Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute (BHSI) facilitates and promotes interdisciplinary research and instructional efforts at UGA in the fields of biomedical and health sciences. BHSI serves as an administrative umbrella for the Southern Center for Communication, Health & Poverty, providing budget, accounting and clerical support; serving as liaison between the Center and UGA Offices of Sponsored Programs and Contracts and Grants; and providing a link from the main UGA web site and the BHSI web site to the Center web site. In addition, the Center is located in the newly constructed health communication research suite in the Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences.
